Emma Reed earned her Silver Award in late summer 2016. Emma created a children's area in the waiting room at the Beach Health Clinic. Her project included a wooden bookshelf, child sized table, chairs and stools, picture books and puzzles for the children to use while they are in the clinic. Emma also created a brochure and video informing caretakers and parents of the educational benefits of reading and puzzling for young children.
Emma is pictured here delivering her project to the director of the Beach Health Clinic. The director said she never realized what was missing in the waiting room until Emma did her project for the clinic, and the director was overjoyed with the results.
